Christy Abate

Christy Abate is owner of The Angel Cooperative® & The Angel Wing, a metaphysical store and spiritual center located in Ridgefield & New Canaan, Connecticut. The Angel Cooperative® is home to the first Shungite Room in the USA and her store was voted Best Spiritual Store by the readers of 068 Magazine and inRidgefield.com. She has truly created a unique and nurturing environment. "I activate the collective’s remembrance of who they truly are through my teaching and healing work. I am of service and support others on their path of self excavation and discovery of their soul's mission. Through my work, I hope others reignite and embrace the spark of divinity that lives inside each and every one of us. And, then in turn, they share that light with the world. I believe this remembrance is how we anchor in the New Earth,” Abate says when asked about her work.

With her extensive background as a Reiki Master, Karuna Master Reiki Practitioner, certified 300hr yoga teacher, ordained Reverend in the Order of Melchizedek, initiated Priestess in the Rose Lineage and Initaite of the Lineage of Mary Magdelena , and an expert in various holistic practices, Christy brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her work. Her workshops, certification classes, activations, private sessions, retreats, and yoga classes and 200hour Yoga Alliance certified teacher training utilizes an impressive blend of modalities including meditation, sound healing, essential oils, crystals, storytelling, intuitive readings, Reiki, and more!  Her ability to integrate these practices in a meaningful way is reflective of her deep understanding of the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit.

Beyond her spiritual work, Christy brings more than 20 years of experience as a business owner, entrepreneur, and community leader. She holds a Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and has spent much of her career building and growing brick-and-mortar businesses rooted in creativity, connection, and service.

Her work has been recognized in a variety of ways, including a Readers’ Choice award for Best Home Stager and being honored as a Woman of the Year at the 2018 Annual Women’s Forum. Christy has also served on the Board of the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce, including as Chair, and as President of the Board of BearHug, a charity founded by her daughter.

At the heart of Christy’s work—whether in business, spiritual practice, or community service—is a belief in showing up, contributing, and creating something meaningful. She lives in Fairfield County, Connecticut, with her husband and family, where she continues to bring together the many threads of her life: family, entrepreneurship, spirituality, and service.

Christy has created a sanctuary for those seeking spiritual growth and healing.
